Quality on LP recording

    I just got the sony tvr14 and am going on holiday very soon. Is it worth recording on LP speed and is there a difference in the picture quality.

    If you are going somewhere warm I would not use LP.

    It runs the tape slower, and DV is already very flakey. LP makes the track width even less tolerant to faults and errors. If you want the tape to last don't temp fate by using LP.

    Just get plenty of tapes. www.mediaforge.co.uk do 15 Sony Premium tapes for £43.95. Over 15 hours over filming if you consider a tape lasts just over the 60 min mark.
