After having two Panasonic TX28PL1s with bad geometry (noticeable bowing on right had side on anything straight) and reading all the stories here, I am about to give up on widescreen and go back to my trusty Sony 14" (10 yrs old, dropped countless times).

Can anyone recommend a 28" widescreen (anything bigger will take over our living room) at 50Hz (or 100Hz with can be turned off) with good geometry, great picture. Sound is not so important as I will get an amp later (may use my hi-fi amp for now). Price around £500 - £700.

I am of the opinion, with all the stories from people I know and on here, that its just pot luck if you get a good set.

    Many thanks
