    I All,

I have been told by a friend of mine that he has been quoated a good price for the QualiTV (QS-1080IR ) and Viewing Card for £499.99 with next day delivery.

If anyone is interested just ask.

    :D

It doesn’t sound like your "friend" got such a great deal.

It's actually more than what a QS1080IR + smartcard goes for, when buying straight from QualiTV. Their price was €587 + VAT when I last inquired, although I've since given up on an STB and went with a PC DVB card instead.

    Cheers.

Abstrakt, which card did you go for? How does it perform?

I bought a Technotrend Budget2 S1000CI for €93, which is the same hardware as a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-CI. But I can't comment on its performance yet, as I'm waiting for my Euro1080 smartcard that will get here next Tuesday.

Hopefully if I've done my homework right everything will work properly. (Famous last words. ;))

    Cheers.

Everything will work just great Abstrakt. That MyTheatre software you introduced me to works really well with the TechnoTrend (Hauppauge).

BTW, The smartcard arrived in Germany yesterday. ;)

    Cheers.

Abstrakt, so what's the card like then? Do you recommend it? What software are you using?
