first of all hello to everybody since iam new here well to get to the point right away, i recently bought myself my first real surround system with the following hardware. 2 quadral shogun prestige for main 2 quadral qlx 105 for surround 1 quadral qlx Base yamaha rxv 540 reciever and yamaha dvd player. iam having much fun with this system, the shoguns are excellent for music and have quite strong bass output. i even put bass to -4 db because its quite overwhelming in my room. my room isn't that big arround 4x9 meters and because its in the attic my roof isn't horizontal. well after watching some movies i noticed that because the bass and lfe signal are going to the fronts this gives much more woofer movement then when listening music. i wonder if iam stressing my shoguns too much and should consider buy a subwoofer. (though i don't have big budget frequency response of the shoguns are 30-50000 herz and my rear and center speakers are set to small and offcourse the front to large.
