Does anyone know what universal remote will work with Quad Audio gear? The only one I've found so far is the Pronto, but as I don't like touch screens it's not a lot of good. I'm a real button man myself.

I have tried the Harmony but didn't like the web interface. I have the MX-500 which I do like but it won't control the Quad (everything else but). It seems to learn the codes from the original but does not work the kit.

I know it doesn't have real buttons but a Kameleon 6 would most probably work - you do get a tactlie response from the keypad though.

I think Quad remotes use two way communication (the remote talks to the audio gear and the audio gear talks to remote). So even if you could learn the commands, and I think quad also uses their own communication protocol, I don't think another remote control would work.

For what it's worth, the instruction manual for the Kameleon 6 lists codes for Quad tuners. Could be a moot point if what 'andybed' has said is correct.
