Anyone out there got a pair of these? I've taken the plunge and got a set and they're absolutely magic. I looked at the 11L's but wanted more bass as I was moving up from a pair of AE 109s. I auditioned the Monitor Silver 5s (new ones) and a pair of AE's but to be honest the 21Ls sounded very neutral and clear. And to boot the black finish is fantastic.

I think that when the first mag review comes out for these I shant be surprised is they get a 4 star at least - and that finish....

If they were the floorstanders on demo at the Manchester Show I thought that they were brilliant with wonderful dynamics and a good bass extension.

Hi Stu, you're the first person I know to have taken the plunge on a pair of these new floorstanding 21L Quads, although I did catch Ian's post from the Manchester show praising either these or their bigger brethren, the 22L's. I've already picked up a pair of the baby 11L standmounts, and intend using them as rears in an AV system together with the L centre and either the 21L or 22L as fronts. Did you compare yours with the 22L's directly in the showroom, and if so was there any major difference between them?

No I didnt actually, but that was more to do with budget actually. But I can tell you this even with comparing them with the best floordtanders for similar money(Monitors, AE etc), they sound just gorgeous and natural and they look great in all the colours. An added bonus is that you can place them near to a wall which is a luxury I need in my room.

just heard the quad 21l being driven by a NAD c370 and they rocked, you are a lucky boy, wish I could afford them

What are you using to drive them ??

Hi Al,

I run them on the new STRVA555es Sony receiver which to be honest isnt gonna be anybodys first choice for speaker driving but I wanted something that is mainly good for home cinema but will offer a very neutral sound with 2 channel. Eventually I'm going to move up to a seperate amp and processor which will complete the set up.

Glad you like to speakers though - everyone whos seen them reckons they look and sound magic!
