    As above.

I've been out of the loop for a while and can't find any reference to it on the Sony site.

    Thanks.

Yes Sony really cut back it's range a few years back in the name of trying to make a profit on its av business and the QS items seem to have been a casulaty. Pretty much only have the standard and ES models now. The ES stuff used to be the top flight really really expensive stuff then the QS and finally the standard range. The ES has pretty much become the equivalent to the QS, metal fronts, high spec etc, though the UK range is rather cut back, try looking on Sony.com US and you will see there are typically two ES models and a standaed model over there where the top ES model would be the equivalent to the old ES and the second equivalent to the QS. Unfortunately we seem to get a restricted range which means we don't get the mid-range ES model only the top one a lot of the time.

If you are really keen on something and it is otherwise compatible import the US model and plug it into a voltage converter, but make sure you can support the necessary tv system etc. My imported ES 400 disc DVD changer with multiregion mod works like a charm.
