I've had a couple of trial periods using Qobuz CD quality streaming and i've noticed that even though the SQ of the streaming is very good and considered CD quality, most of the Albums I've listened to seem to have slight distortion in loud parts. I've listen both on my Hi-Res walkman and also my Sonos system so i know it's not my equipment.

I guess my question is does Qobuz employ Dynamic Range Compression or reprocess the music adding this? I hear this on Jamiroquai - Automaton, Ed Shearan - Divide, Ran N Bone Man - Human.. etc..

I really am considering buying the Hi-Res version of Jamiroquai's Album Automaton, but if it has the distortion that is present on streaming, I won't bother.

I suppose it could be really band Album production. If it is, it is shocking.
