QED silver spiral vs. van den hul the first ultimate "interconnects"

    howdo all,
    can anyone tell me, is it worth me changing my qed silver spiral interconnects for something better like the van den hul the first ultimate interconnects?. how better are the van den hul 's than the qed interconnects?.

    A lot would depend on what equipment you are using and what you are trying to achieve.:)

    Hiya,

    I found the SSpiral somewhat bright and a tad flabby in the lo freqs, but that is on my system with my ears. I tried a 102Mk3 and found it had much nicer tighter bass but was a bit lacking in the voices department, for me anyway.

    As I have now learnt, what Knightshade says is 100% right - Cheers

    I heard a little while ago that an increase in quality such as amp/cable etc could actually sound worse if your speakers were not up to handling all the extra detail/information.....

    So always best to try if possible to see if you like the result.
