I bought QED silver micro about 50m for £170 so about £3.40 a meter. (prob excessive for surround speakers, but thin enough to go under my carper!!)

I bought them for my 4 surround speakers. Had 4 meters left over and tried it on my Denon system. Very good stuff i think.

I am not aware of the std micro cable.

just had a quick look on ebay and the qed silver micro product code looks like QEDSM

and the micro cable code looks like QEDOM

    so they must be different

    can anyone confirm this?

QED Micro is Oxygen-free-Copper, while I think Silver Micros is practically same cable, but silver-plated (?).

    Think this is right.

qed silver micro is a more detailed cable as its got more silver in it, however normal micro should be fine for surround speakers depending on the speakers
