Q7FN and network hub issue

Hi
Having an issue with network connectivity (wired).
If I plug the TV directly into my router/modem, everything works fine.
But when I try plug the network cable from the tv into a hub (which in turn is connected to the router/modem), the TV will not connect to the internet, no matter what I do.
I have a laptop plugged into the hub, and this connects to the internet straight away.
I have tried different cables, different hub ports, setting IP/DNS/Subnet/Gateway manually. Nothing works.
It must be something to do with the TV as the laptop works perfectly.
Any ideas?
