Q Acoustic 1030i as rears

Just brought some 1050i floorstanders to upgrade from my 1030i current floorstanders.

I was looking to put my 1030i as left and right rears and put my current 1010i rears move back into a 7.1 set up.

Acoustically would this work with the large floorstanders all round and the 1010i as centre rears.

Any help would be greatful as I might sell the 1030i floorstanders.

Keep in mind, you can do anything you want.

Far more than the speakers, the room itself and how big it is and how it is laid out, will determine who well it will work to use floorstanding speakers are surround speakers. The drawback is the floorstanding speakers are at ear level, which in turn implies you need the back some distance from the listeners.

Agian, there are far to many factors we don't know, to tell you whether or not YOU specifically can do this well. But, yes, it certainly can be done well in general.

Cheers for the advice. I sit 5m from my TV so they will be placed 5m away from the fronts. They will be about 0.5m from my seating position so will maybe give it a go.
