would there be any benefit to paying the extra and getting a pwhd8. dont think i will get sky hd. but will get a 360.
is the only difference between these screens the resolution.
has anyone compared these screens to the pioneer 436.

From what i have read on the forums, the phd8 has better processing. I suppose it has to to be able to give decent pq with current pal material.
If you can afford to get the phd8, then go for it you wont be dissapointed.
Go and get a demo of one if you can.

i might have to go for the pwd8 due to cost. i currently have a 37pw7 which i have noticed has a bit of grain or picture noise on the screen. is this a common problem, am i likely to get on worse on a bigger screen?

toshiba sd350 dvd connected with component (thor lead)
sky into panasonic dmr es10 dvd recorder then into screen with scart (monster 3 cable) (i got the lead cheap)
i have a b-tech scart swithcher with ps2 and gamecube connected then into sky vcr scart on back of sky box.
i am considering an rgb to vga converter for sky.
