OK chaps, not quite ready to sell so hence not going to classified just yet. Am considering PHD8 and would welcome your views on how easy it would be to sell a 6 month old PWD7 (from Av Sales), with stand and component board. Has been ISF'd by Piers on both component and VGA inputs. Also has extended warranty which I imagine must be transferrable.

    Thanks for any opinions

I'm sure you could sell it no problem - but at how much of a loss? Prices are falling all the time ... I bought my PW7 about 9 months ago and it was about £800 more expensive then ... so I guess you'd be looking at something similar on the plasma. Be lucky to get 1k for it I reckon. But if you can take the hit then just go for it ... wish i could do the same :(

Doesn't really matter if you loose loads, it is what it costs to change that is important I always think.

I bought my PW6 for £2200 last July and then sold it 6 months or so later for £900! But I was happy with the price I paid to upgrade to the HD6 so it wasn't too bad.

I reckon you could get £850 for the panel and another £100 for the stand and board, the warranty will help sell it too, it is transferable.

i forget what i paid for this one, about £1350 (plus the calibration) so hopefully not quite that big a drop.....but then again the drop is only going to get bigger...and don't get me wrong it's a great screen........I'm just a fool when it comes to these things! thanks for the feedback matey.

Look at it this way, the 42hd screen was £3500 last July when I bought the PW6, you can get it now for £2100, think of what you have saved by waiting! ;)

if its the PW7 then £800-900 is a fair price but dont be surprised if you get alot of offers around £650 (depends how much you want an HD8)

not that there is much difference but the PWD7 should be worth a little more £1000 all in and you should get it shifted. Job is cool knackered and driving 800+ miles a week hence my lack of forum time..........
