Have had a look through various threads on similar topics and just wanted to get other members' latest thinking on the following.

What I want to do is buy laptop to connect to VGA of the Panny so that laptop can hook up to my wireless network (Linksys) and I can use PiP (I have scart board) to surf t'internet using wireless keyboard/ mouse.

    Will this work?
Any issues I should be aware of?- I think on some previous threads some users had problems re interference .
I have the Pioneer VSX402 amp- is there any way I can take sound out of the laptop to this?
Finally I would like to somehow hook up my Panny video camera (which doubles as webcam) to use as video baby monitor again probably via laptop/VGA- does anyone have experience of this?

Lots of questions but hopefully for somebody who has similar set up this will be old hat.

    Cheers

    NM

I do this with my PWD6 with no problem at all. Sound output from line out on laptop into amp will be fine too.
Watch out that you don't leave a static browser image on your screen for too long though :rotfl:

Yep I do this, but be aware that the range of the wireless keboarsa nd mice are sh£t I got a gyration, but a bluetooth setup work a treat too.

The only problem with split screen is the size of the screen makes it quite hard to read the web at 1024.768, may be better at 800x600

Thanks for your responses chaps. I have got a wireless keyboard and mouse for desktop at home so will try this with the plasma set up at acceptable viewing distance before buying a new keyboard.

Any views on the webcam/ baby monitoring situation as you are both clearly technologically competent???

You can get these very smart 2.4ghz mini-cams for about £20 quid on ebay

Keene sell them for a staggering £79...!!!! Whoa....overprice alert! ;-)

Ive got one for the cat....its about the size of a sugar cube with a 30m range
or so, and its great fun watching him mince around the house...I put it on his
    collar looking forward...its a scream!
