Hi all, sorry about starting another thread on connections but I've tried searching and though it helps, I'm still a bit confused.

I've just ordered a 42 inch PW7 with a scart board and want to connect the following to it.

Xbox, (I have the joytech av cable).
    Sky +.
    Sony Dav-SC5.

My question is will I be able to connect it all by putting the xbox in to the dvd player via composite, then putting this in to the sky + vcr scart, then going in to the tv via scart from sky +.

Is this an acceptable way with regards to pq e.t.c. If it isn't then what other ways are there to do this.

Having just splashed out on the plasma, I'd rather not spend any more at the moment but would consider getting extra equipment at a later date.

Any advice or info would be greatly apreciated as the amount of information here boggles the mind a bit.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dave.

I don't think the xbox pass thru bit will work....I would suggest you buy a scart splitter box like the quintro it's a bit more money but not megga bucks...then plug everything into the splitter and that into the scart board on your screen

Hi mep, thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to just put the Sony through the sky + box via the vcr scart then from sky + to the tv via scart. I don't mind swapping the scarts round for the xbox as I don't play it much any way.

    Cheers.

    Dave.

Nice one mep, thanks for another speedy reply.

My mind is now at ease and I can look forward to getting the screen and not worrying about if it'll all work together.

I may upgrade the sony and input boards at a later date as I understand you can get better pq with component connections.

    Cheers, Dave.
