    Hi

I recently got aPW7, really pleased with it, everything seems to be fine
(many thanks to the posts in these forums, glad to others have problems as well),
however cannot seem to get the tint option to work on the menu, not even highlighted.

Now, I only have a scart input , budget dictated this at the time of purchase.

Everything goes to a scart box, then to the screen. If I remove the scart box and connect straight to the screen (individually) it's the same.

I only have phillips on digital box at present (if that signal makes a difference),
So is it the signal or the input board?????????????????? :lease:

    Any views greatly appreciated

i believe you don't get this option on rgb inputs.

It's greyed out on my scart input too, but is available on the component input, so I guess that's normal.

Thanks, so if I get a component board, will the tint remove that glare I get sometimes?

That I do not know (I'm sure there'll be someone along in a minute with such knowledge!), but I'd imagine that you shouldn't have such a glare anyway, so there must be another way to get rid of it.

Tint has nothing whatever to do with "glare". It alters the balance between red / green and only works on NTSC sources.

In reading the instructions it said tint could be used for facial tones and sometimes if there's a scene with some one in bright sunshine, or studio lights there seems to be a "glare" from peoples fore heads. I 've tried altering the white balance etc, but I thought prehaps the lack of tint was the problem..

Cum on guys, leads any good? there is no visible difference between my Ixos 801(v.good lead) and and the best component lead.
(Two equal sources, two seperate inputs to pw7, component and scart, pic in pic, direct comparison)
infact I prefered the colour on the scart!! :eek:You can change the colour to suit but hey!!
Seriously, Id get rid of the scart box, run everything through a dvd recorder, or something and get a good lead(like me) :smashin:

That way you can choose component or SCART, and convert your signal if need be!!

Have you got a DVD player you can connect?
If so, try the DVE disc first to callibrate, its only about £12 and you may get better results,
However if this is a new panel you need to wait for the first 200 hours to pass before turning up the settings

If this is true, put the panel in cinema mode for the first month or two.
