It's a good point. There are no 42ps10's left in distribution now and Panasonic no loner have a 42" SD panel in their range.

It's a real shame for you but you will need to go for the 42ph11 :)

Ouch, that's bad. The 2nd hand value of PW7s is 150-200 pounds so if the insurance company offers you a new one you should get that a.s.a.p. :)

They will offer you a replacement TV of what they think is an equivalent or better specification to your old TV, irrespective of what the costs are or what you had originally paid. You will have an opportunity to reject their offer if you feel it's unfair.

I would argue my case from the angle,'I purchased the PW7 for its PQ and I would like to visit my dealer and choose a replacement,as I did with my original purchase'.I'm guessing going at it this way that you may be offered a cheque in settlement,or may have to 'top up' to get the TV you would like from their preferred supplier, depending on how they operate.I would try to negotiate an agreement that would result in getting a replacement from my favourite dealer, saying something like,'it took me ages to find a set I was happy with when I bought the Pana,I don't suppose its gonna be any easier this time'.Please can you find it in your heart to send me a cheque. :D
