I walked into my local WH Smith and picked up a copy of a home cinema mag, can't remember which one exactly..
    too shocked to remember :)
The mag had a review of the 42" PW7. It only recieved a 64% rating!! is it really that bad? I am thinking of buying one real soon. All I want is a good picture..

if all you want is a good picture look no further, you will not be disappointed. Also if you do a search you will find a thread about that article.

    lupo,

Forget the mag review, the PWD7 is good, the PWHD7 even better (which I am watching right now!).

Noticed they did a another review and only used a scart board. Seems a bit silly. They should have reviewed using a component board at least

The PW7 is an amazing screen. I just watched Star wars episode 2 on the PW7 using a progressive scan DVD player and component board and the picture was spot on throughout. I am really critical about picture and sound and with good connections the PW7 is easily as good as my sony wega CRT screen. The only problem is it needs good inputs/cables to get a great picture. I have had to upgrade my cables for XBox, ps2, DVD player etc to component (or s-video at the very least); but when you're spending £1800 on a TV then £100 on cables is insignificant.

    If you're spending £1800 on a PW7 then you're spending waaaaay too much. :)
