My Panasonic 42" PW7 just arrived and I have it sitting comfortably on tv table  All works great and I thank ALL OF YOU who recommended Panasonic to me, the PQ is really great, way above Samsung and the others.

Again in accordane to everybody's recommendations around, I know I have to tune down a bit the brightness etc in the first 200h of use to prevent initial burn-in etc.

What settings should I put it on ?

you don't need to overly worry just avoid dynamic mode! also go into screen saver options in set up menu and set wobble, etc to on.....glad you are happy with the screen!

Im really impressed with the cinema mode at standard.

Has anyone cranked theres up after 200 hours and prefered it the way it was and set it back to standard cinema mode.

just recieved my PW7 from 123 at £1249 including stand and scart board, impressed with the picture quality, but in auto mode i find that left and right of the panel the picture is distoted, and when it is in zoom it seems fine, has anyone els had the same experiance?

Well I got mine yesterday :D very happy

From what I can make out, in 16:9 it streches the whole picture to fit the screen size & makes everyone look fat. While in auto it only streches the outer edges, which so far I prefer...

Showing a 1:433 picture in 16/9 mode stretches a lot.

The JUST option will indeed keep the center with normal ratio and stretch the outer edges. It will also ZOOM a bit, but not as much as the direct ZOOM option.

    This is working "as designed"
