Hi, could someone please tell me the dimensions of the 42" panasonic PW7 panel box as I want to know if it will fit in the car.

Also has anyone transported a plasma in your car on longer journeys? I won't go into detail but mine will have to be transported 120miles twice a year - due to this should I perhaps not buy one?

Has anyone sent plasmas via courier? if so what sort of price are we talking?

    Thanks.

You probablly know already but plasmas have to be kept upright at all times otherwise you will damage them.

thanks for the replies - yep am aware it has to be kept upright :)

Fletcher if you could get exact measurements that would be much appreciated.

Have you tried transporting it in your own car? It would be going in a average sized saloon. The width and depth should be ok but am a little anxious about the height.

How many other people need to go in the car? If I end up getting a PWD6 from Richer Sounds then my plan is to put it on the back seat, pull the 2 rear seatbelts across the front of the box and probably tie the two buckles together in the middle since I won't be able to get to the clasps, and then stuff a rolled up blanket between the back of the box and the seats to make sure the box is sitting vertically.

i fitted my board when it was up on the wall. a little bit tricky getting the screws in but got there in the end.

i would say it would fit on the back seat of an astra/focus sized card.

Will definitely go in the back of a Focus Estate, also on the back seat of a Mondeo (newer shape) hatchback....from personal experience. :)
