Its my understanding that the PW7 was manufactured for home use and the PWD7, a panel only model, was made by Panasonic Business. The option to buy a simple panel in which you could fit the sockets and inputs you needed was attractive to me. I'm interested in the PV500 but notice that it comes with speakers, tuner, etc. Having now bought the cables, surround system, etc I was wondering if anyone knows if there will be a PV500 equivalent stripped of all the bells and whistles? Is there any benefit to having an onboard tuner (other than not having to worry about inputs and terminal boards to receive TV images)? How do people with panel mounted speakers fit this into their 5, 6 or 7.1 systems? Do the speakers just contribute to the front L and R or is it preferable to turn them off?
