If the SCART is a bit poo on the PW6 and people are using the S-Video socket for Sky+, how will I connect my Panasonic DVD recorder to the screen.
My current setup with my 'old' TV has the DVD recorder routing through the SKY box and then onto the telly.
Also, I rely on the 'auto switching' that the SCART provides, i,e, I turn on the Sky box and the TV automatically turns over to the AV channel it is on. I know S-Video doesn't provide this feature so does the PW6 stay on the 'AV' channel that you last left it on if you switch it off (and then back on later of course!).

    Thanks all in advance......

IIRC you have to select av each time defaults to PC IIRC or that might just be PW5.......... Which DVDR? if its an E55 you can use it to convert RGB to component and run that into the VGA input on PW6.....Or component board on PW7...

It's the one before it. E50. Bloody good recorder bar the 3 hour bootup each time you put a disc in (oh, and the RGB is a bit 'fuzzy').

Cheers Horny! But isn't the VCR SCART on SKY+ boxes composite only and not RGB? And lastly, how will the audio go through?

its compsite or S-video which is what i reconmend you use......
OPtical for Sky+ to amp and optical from DVDR to AMP.
Audio for archvived SKY+ via scart lead to DVDR (IIRC E50 can take S-video over scart)
