What are you thinking of connecting to the TV? It only has scart with this deal.

telewest cable box and a pioneer 575 dvd player would be connected.
i suppose the cable box would plug into the vga (via scart) and then i would need another socket for the dvd player (not sure which would be best, dvi, rgb scart or component).
i don't have a sound system but the panny speakers are quite expensive so the hitachi seemed quite good.

i have just taken back my hitachi pd325200 (i hated it) and really can't exceed £1700.00.

cable composite would be very poor quality, wouldn't it?
i must admit that due to the restricted budget i am stuggelling to get what i need.

    WOW

great deal on the pwd7 from av-sales.

Depending on HD's comments on the Panny and NEC late next week, this may be the one I am going for.

    :D

i have a pioneer 575 dvd player and usually connect it to my tv via component leads.

if i get a js rgb to component convertor for the cable box to the amp, plug the dvd player into the amp using a standard component lead what cable is required from the amp to the screen?

I just got a PWD6 from nexnix arrived next day on a saturday(very good service I reckon and the courier was £45 + VAT in case you are interested. Currently driving it from my pioneer 575 via component to 15Pin connector and we are loving it - didn't realise quite how big it would be in my living room, but its great.
