    can anyone tell me how to get into the service menu, and how i can find out how long my screens been on for?

    yeah I searched the forum and what I found didnt work for me... (Hold down volume - and press the [+] key)

    for the pwd7 you press the [+] key three times......and also make sure you don't have your hand in the way of the infra red reciever on the screen!!.(it's easily done).....no idea if this is the same for for pw5 though.

    I am 99% its the same (its the volume button on the front panel of the plasma not the remote) and not sure if it works with tuner conencted...

    I think its the same too

    Press and hold down the volume down button on the front panel and then press the status button three times quickly(within 1 sec) This takes you into the CAT mode.

    You then select the SD mode by UP and Down on the remote then press the action button on the remote

    PT is the cumulative Time for power on condition measured in hours
    WT is the power on counter.

    To exit the CAT mode access the ID mode and switch off the main power

    As always if you dont know what your doing or not confident dont mess with it.You can mess things up if you press the wrong sequence of buttons.

    Turned out I had my hand covering the IR sensor.

    721 Hours?!!?! I knew it was second hand but JESUS!


    BTW that was very scary I was scared I was gonna press something wrong

    1000 hours or 3 hours a day, dead in under a year!!!!!!at £3k (price as new) thats very very very expensive TV

    damn thats alot of viewing. How long u get outta these boards? i thought panasonic said 11k hours? is it up to the 30k?

    30-40,000 for a PW5 they upped it to 60,000 for the PW6 the PSU etc will fail before the panel wears out

    i work at comet, so i got it from there for £980 with tuner box
