Hi , I've been using my PVR8000T for about 6 months now and I'm quite impressed. But I tried something recently and I dont know if there is a fault with my machine or not. If I press the record button as I am watching a channel, the PVR8000T will only record for 1 hour 59 minutes and then stops. Is this correct or have a setting wrong somewhere?

    TIA Disastermaster

Unfortunately I don't have the answer for this.

I have this model and I hardly ever press the record button.

I've had it on timer record for as much as 8 hours.

The buffer that records while the unit is on usually lasts an hour or 2 so I can only assume that instant recording has the same restrictions???

Yes this is normal, if you want longer record times, each press of the record button will give you different times.
