I am looking for a dual tuner PVR that also has a built in DVD recorder for members of my family with the annalogue switch-off imminent.
The recorder is needed for achiving from the hard disk.

I have suggested a humax and separate DVD recorder, but its a last resort.

I have found plenty of PVRs with a DVD recorder, they claim two tuners but with research they only have one digital tuner (the other is annologue).

Do any of you know of such a machine?

Thanks in advance - plester

Those aren't PVRs...they are DVD Recorders (DVDRs)
Such a thing doesn't exist in the UK.
You're best going down the route of PVR and a DVDR.

Yes, just to clarify:

There are twin-tuner PVRs which only have a hard drive and cannot record anything EXCEPT what they receive via their own aerial and tuner, and they do not have any other drive for playing or recording any other media.

There are single-tuner DVD recorders which may have a hard drive as well as their DVD drive and can record from their onboard tuner and also from extrnal sources connected eg via SCART etc.

Those are your choices. The thing you want does not (yet?) exist in one box. To do what you want, you will need one of each of the above.

Thanks for responses. Now I know the box I want doesn't exist, I will go with Humax and separate DVD Recorder.

Cheers - plester
