Is there a PVR that can record SKY via external scart input. I'm not buying into SKY+ as they want an extra £10 a month because I dont subscribe to movies or sport channels.

All currently available PVR's only record via their own internal tuners  - and not an external source. If you want to record Sky, then suggest a DVD recorder.

Cheers. Kinda thought so. I want a decent amount of recording time so i suppose it would have to be a DVD/HD combo machine with digital tuner.
Over to the DVD recorder threads then.......

Well there is one option - TiVo!

Although TiVo will still require a £10 per month subscription for full functionallity, but you do also have the option of paying a one off £200 lifetime sub instead. TiVo boxes are still available, but only second hand now. The normal 40Gb HDD will allow about 12 hours recording at best quality, but the HDD can easily be upgraded to give several hundred hours recording with the size of drives available these days.
If interested in a TiVo then take a look Here.

    Mark.
