    The holy grail, I know it's a persistant source of threads but has anyone produced or found the beastie yet?

    Beyonwiz S1... Twin Hd Tuners. 200g Hdd. Dvd Player. Divx. Usb. Ethernet. Wifi. No Dvd Burner Though.

    And not available in the UK, as far as I know. Even if it were, those HD tuners wouldn't be much use, since they certainly won't be DVB-T2, which is what we're likely to use here for terrestrial HD.

    I thought the latest Sony and Panasonic DVD players had all this in them?

    Might not have a twin tuner though...

    Isn't the Sony RDR-HXD870 sort of heading in the right direction. Twin tuner albeit one is analog , Freeview , HD and DVD recorder ?

    But you can't use both tuners simultaneously, can you?

    I think the latest models are slightly improved, in that you don't have to power down to switch between analogue and digital tuners, which was necessary on the older ones, but it's still not quite the seamless operation you get from twin digital tuners.

    Will advise once I see it in operation. My friend only got it yesterday and hasn't even wired it up yet. Good article btw. I now understand the problem :thumbsup:
