As anyone managed to do a good objective comparison between the Panny TH42PV500 and the new Samsung PS42S5H yet. I'm looking at both at the moment and whilst the PV500 claims to be the current benchmark can the Samsung be that far away given the huge difference in price between the two, ie, is the Panasonic really worth the extra £800+?

Only compared the SD versions of the 2 manufacturers and the Panny PE50 was far better.
Whether something is worth £800 more is relevant to how much an individual is willing to compromise should a PQ difference be apparent.

I spent a couple of hours playing with them in a store and while the sammy is nice, the panny is quite a bit better (nicer picture). Personally I thought it was £600 better.
