    Hi,

When I switch on subtitles on widescreen broadcasts, the TV does not go into widescreen mode (I get a squashed image with black bars at the top and bottom). As soon as I switch off teletext, the TV goed back to widescreen. There is no manual widescreen selection. (Only 16:9, but that stretches the image horizontally. And the aspect-ratio button does not work when teletext is active anyways). It happens with BBC 1 and 2 (p.888) and also on other widescreen channels. Has anyone noticed this? It is on a European 37PV500 model on analogue cable.

Found a way around it: Switch to Zoom-1 mode when viewing a widescreen channel and you want to use teletext subtitles. Zoom-1 is the mode for letterboxed 4:3 transmissions.
