    Folks,

I've seen and applied the recommended settings for my Pioneer 436 XDE....Thanks to all!

Now the question is... are there similar recommended settings for the Panasonic TH42-PV500? My dad has decided to get himself a plasma and after an abortive attempt with an LG (it crapped out on him) he's now looking at getting the aforementioned Panny. He's not that clued up on screen burn etc so I'd like to get the info to him before he does any permanent damage.

    Cheers!

Firstly take it out of Dynamic. I have mine set to Cinema, and have turned down the contrast, brightness and colour.

These settings have been fine for me...
