Im puzzled?...rgb output of both ntsc and pal dvd`s(same disc)always produces superior pictures on the pal disc...a great example is the pal version of spartacus-which is far superior in overall quality to the ntsc version...but surely via rgb their should be no difference?

Is this via a Scart connector? I've 'heard' that many DVD players (or is it TV's) don't support a NTSC signal via RGB Scart, in which case it would most likely default to composite (or compost for short).

Was he the tortured soul who poured out his immortal longings into dignified passages of stately music?

Or was he an old poof who wrote tunes?

Charles, according to "rewind", The region 2 version of Spartacus is 2.35:1 and anamorphic, whereas the region 1 disc is 2.2:1 and non-anamorphic.This may explain the better quality of region 2.

    Tiberious,
Would the region 2 disc still look better even when viewed as leterbox and not 16.9...?
