Putting my old laptop to use for streaming video

Hi there

I have an old IBM laptop that I use for web browsing through a 54mbps wireless connection. The laptop is pretty old (4 years) but I was thinking of connecting it to my widescreen lcd and using it to stream video of my network also.

Just wondering if it's using an old integrated graphics solution (possibly intel but not sure) Are there drivers or an app that can force the resolution to 1366x768?

The laptop runs XP and probably only has about 256mb of ram. I would only be running to stream divx videos and am not expecting much...

But can this be done? :)

Yes, I would have thought it should manage that ok - 1366 x 768 is not a demanding resolution, if you cannot configure the drivers to output this resolution, you could try powerstrip.
