Is this a bad thing? Never done it before or knew you could. Ended up transferring more than the bill and now it is £5 in credit.

I remember being told once that you should never put a credit card in credit or is it no big deal really?

I thought I heard some story of someone being fined for being in credit (yes I know it sounds daft). Perhaps check your Ts and Cs.

My Barclaycard has been in credit on several occasions due to refunds being applied after the monthly statement date. Never been an issue other than annoying.

Never had the issue myself either, I have a DD setup for the full amount but generally pay it off weekly, should I forget to make my manual payments, the DD will make sure I don't pay any interest or late payment fines.

Timed it badly once and it ended up putting me in credit by £250! As above, just annoying.

I am sure my old egg credit card allowed for credit actually paid interest. Never heard of it being a problem.
