    Hi guys
I bought a Z1 from nexnix a few months ago & it's a great pj for the price.
But i've noticed that in the top right & bottom left i have a purple patch.
In the top left & bottom right i have a green patch, now you can see these very easy on a grey screen.
But on a film i can only see 1 purple patch in the top right of the screen, but only on grey or cream colours.
This is not dust i've been told that all LCD's have this kind of problem.
Is this the case or do you think i should call nexnix?

    Cheers :smashin:

I have a tosh 220 dvd player (i know **** lol) the player has a grey screen that show the problem as i said above.
If you have a grey screen on your dvd player or any films with lots of greys you could check & see for me.

It was some guy on avs that said this "colour uniformity problem happens on LCD Pjs."

Certainly not dust from the description but a (common) LCD uniformity issue.

Most if not all LCDs will have this to some degree, exacerbated over time. Whether or not you should contact the retailer depends on the severity of the problem.

Pictures posted here ages ago clearly showing this effect - will have a look for them.

yes kramer is right, i have had a bit with my Z2. Lcds have real trouble creating an even colour field.
Notch up the gamma rating to help 'spread' the brightness over more areas of the screen, i did this and pretty much all the greeness has gone, it is only on the top bar, about 2 cm of width, now and does not bother me.

p.s when i got my Panasonic AE200 bk from panasonic it had the purple issue you were saying, this was after they replaced the optical block because i had a dead pixel
