Pure One Ecoplus firmware update

Yesterday I bought a Pure One Ecoplus DAB radio from Tesco, not bad for £35 I thought.
Anyway, love to mess and all that so decided to see if there was an updated firmware available. Firmware version on my radio was v1.5. I downloaded an application from Pures website and followed the instructions but instead of upgrading or telling me I have an up to date version it actually downgraded my to v1.2.
Because of this I've lost the Ecoplus energy saving features as I think I've now got the standard firmware.

Anybody else done the same? Is the Ecoplus version available anywhere as I can't seem to find specific firmware on www.pure.com.

The Pure download page only has the 1.2 firmware available. I would e-mail pure support and ask them if they can make the later firmware available either direct to you or on their website.

Thanks very much, I'll do just that.
I'm surprised at the lack of warning message before downgrading.

Technical support at Pure must be the worst that I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with!

No less than four emails, countless telephone calls which go to answerphone (messages left everytime with contact details) and not one reply.

Not sure I would purchase a product manufactured by Pure again......

Hi All

Just spotted this thread and thought I would make a couple of points:

Firstly if you have a ONE radio and you are thinking of updating the firmware – please check what version of firmware your radio is currently running. The available firmware version for download on the ONE support page (http://www.pure.com/Support/kb.asp?Product=VL-60789) is version 1.2 and if your radio is displaying a later version of firmware (notably version 1.5 onwards) then there is no need to install version 1.2. You will find an install guide to version 1.2 in its installation notes on the same page (http://www.pure.com/Support/kb.asp?Product=VL-60789&Data=DriverNotes0)

Secondly to GaryMo. I have to say I'm a little surprised at your post here and the experience you seemed to have had with my support team. My team responds to emails – normally within two working days - and phone messages in the same day without exception, so I'm confused to say the least. Can you contact me via the contact details in my signature below and I'll personally see to it that we get the issue with your ONE radio resolved. If you choose to contact me via the support team email address ([email protected]) then please make the email for the attention of me in the subject field. That way it will get to me quickly.

I have to add that my emails to Pure support have always been answered quickly in defence of the people there :)
