Purchasing Whole New Setup

Hi all,

The time has come for us to upgrade our current AV setup. We currently have a 32" Panasonic CRT, Sky+, Sony Upscaling DVD Player, Sony STRDB895D AMP, TDL RTL 2 Fronts, Jamo Centre, rears and Sub & a Squeezebox.

We're looking to update and upgrade to HD. So, we're looking for at least a 42" Plasma/LCD/LED, SkyHD, Blu-Ray, New Amp with HDMI and new speakers and the possibility of a streaming media player such as the Popcorn Hour.

We've been looking around and really like the Panasonic plasma's, but now also like the LED's, but worry about it being new technology, so not sure what route to take. We watch films and sport, but won't be used for games and won't be opposite a window for glare. However, saying we won't play games, I've been thinking about a new PS3 for a blu-ray player?

We were swaying towards the Plasma's because they handle sport well and have good blacks, but LCD's are awesome now aswell.

So this is where I'm crying out for help, if you've got up to about £2,000 to spend on TV, Blu-Ray, Amp & speakers, what would you invest in? It's got to last a long time, as what we have now, we've had for at least 8 years, with the exception of the AMP.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing peoples suggestions or if more info is needed.
