    heyhey all

Quick question just to clear up a stupid argument between me and my friend.

Is the Smashing Pumpkins last album Machina pronounced Machine-a or Mac-ina?

    :)

'fraid not. I gave it plenty of chances and couldn't get into it. That said, I never really liked Corgan's voice very much, so that was always a bad start :D

They went downhill after Siamese Dream IMHO, Mellon Collie was a bit self indulgent I thought and Gish remains the best work they did.

    Machine-a it is then. Cheers.

Not a huge fan of the album myself, but it came up because I mentioned to my friend that I downloaded Machina 2, and liked it quite alot.

Yeah, its 90 mins of outtakes and b-sides, but there is still alot of quality stuff on there. Cash Car Star and Go stand out in particular.

Mellon Collie is one of the finest rock/metal albums of all time IMO...

Adore is the only one i've not really got on with myself, though there are still a few corking tracks on there..

I Like machina a lot, 4 or 5 great tracks for me..but still not close to either siamese dream or mellon collie..

Siamese Dream is class, Mellon Collie was good but not on par, maybe should have just released one cd rather than 2
