    :( :( :( :( :(
Bad news - just ordered these last week and now they are delayed - AGHHHHHHHHHH !!!!
Lets hope they are adding some more extras and not taking any out
The news is taken from dvddebate.com

The release dates for the Special Editions of Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown have been delayed for a month from August 20th to September 16th. Buena Vista have neglected to give a reason for the two-disc set's delays, but it only means they'll be even more highly anticipated.

I know a couple of people that have them already. Region 1 version, I think they ordered from movietyme.
    Nice package all round.

Is the delay to the R2 version?

Sounds like Captain was talking about R2 then. The dates for the R2 releases given on play.com seem similar.

I'd never buy Pulp Fiction on R2 anyway for fear of that 3-second censorship again  Plus I can't wait :D

what if it is R1 and they've found a fualt and pulled the plug on the release?

movietyme etal may have sent them out before the recall notice.

    just a thought ( I get them occasionally :)

Yep the discs I have are the 2-disc R1 SE's. I had a brief look at both yesterday and they seemed okay, checked out the DTS tracks on the opening credits and a few other bits. They played okay so not sure what the major fault would be. I *did* think that the Pulp Fiction opening music seemed somewhat skewed towards the left of screen, as if the balance was not right, but haven't checked it further yet. Jackie Brown seemed perfectly balanced.

More info when I get chance, or maybe someone else has watched theirs by now.

I don't think Movietyme have sent theirs out yet.
They posted on their forum that they were asked to delay sending out stock by Disney. Seem to have them in the US but still no sign of them actually being shipped.
If any one has had their from MT please let me know.

    Thanks

As far as i'm aware its the R1 versions that have been delayed.
I didnt even know they were coming out in R2 - Pulp will still be cut.
Wonder what the problem is ????

Even the original releases of Pulp Fiction in Canada and the US were cut. The R1 SEs won't be according to www.dvdcompare.org.uk

My R1 packaging is nice (Uma visible through a cutout on Pulp, and Jackie through a bullethole on JB), but that R2 Pulp cover looks even better.

Except for the '18' label which spoils it a bit...
