As part of my plan to set up a Panny PTAE500 and screen in my evening cinema room, I felt it would be worth an upgrade to my current DVD player Panasonic RV31 which can go in the family sitting room.

I am concidering a DVD / recorder as main sources in viewing room will be SKY+ & DVD.

Thinking of another Panasonic unit as remote control compatability etc and in the past have proved reliable.

    Looking at the DMRE85 see

If i use RGB Scart out of digibox into DMRE85 could i just then use the component to projector for viewing DVDs or Sky? :lease:

What alternative would you suggest othewise.

I am trying to minimise cables from one end of the room to the other 16ft as wife will go mad (she has not figured out conduit across ceiling to Projector will be about 5ft)
