    Hello,

Ive had the Panny 300 for a few months now and i find it darker than it should be, most films seem more grey than they do on a normal crt as do most xbox games, i understand contrast ratio isnt as good as they are on a CRT but i really dont think it should be this bad, this projector got rave reviews both here and in the press so ill assume its because i havent set it up. i really dont know where to start, ive put it on its default settings then moved the bars up and down in the set up menu and havent improved the picture one bit.

the room im in is completley blacked out with no natural light getting in, so is it going to need setting up? or am i just looking for quality that just isnt there?

edit - i forgot to mention im projecting onto a DRH screen which is in the matt white screen material i assume this is important to quality, would upgrading help me?
