Hi,after getting advice from my earlier post I was just about to order a PTAE200 for £750 inc del and free pixel check.
At the last minute I phoned a local dealer to ask if he had one I could look at.He said they stopped doing them because the bulbs were going after a few months.

Was he talking bull, what should they last and how much is a new bulb.

Please answer quickly,I've got my hand on the credit card and am busting to use it.

I've had mine for a year with over 300 hours on it and no problem.

I think Bobby means that they are going to stop producing them in a couple of months, not that they only last that long in the projector

Sorry about the confusion. He meant the bulbs were failing after a few months and having to be replaced.

    :clown:

My first post in ages and I make a clown of myself:D

I haven't heard this regarding the AE200. AFAIK both the AE300 and AE200 are realiable projectors. Perhaps he is mistaking the AE100 reputation for that of the AE200

Certainly seems the reliablity of the 200 & 300 is infinitely better than the 100, this is especially grating as I have a 100 which has had major surgery three times, and I paid quite a lot more than the 700 ish that you can get the 200 for! (should have waited!!!) Speaking with my dealer hat on we have had (up to press) no problems whatsoever with 200 & 300 models apart from lit pixel issues, on a very considerably quantity of units.

    Hi Bobby...

Well after a few years :) thinking about it. I have (just a few moments ago) also ordered a PTAE200 from Discount Electrical.

Delivery on Thursday to my works address in Redhill.

Lady on the phone was VERY polite and a pleasure to deal with.
She assured me they were guaranteed not to have any bad pixels (which has been a major worry for me in the past) & had a laugh when I mentioned benji_m's posts on the internet....

Very happy to have placed my order with them so far.
Will report how my 1st projector experiences go in the next few days.
