I use the Powerbook G4 MAC's DVI output.

Anyone who know how to get the proper 1280 X 720 resolution?
    Is that even possible?

Yes, it is definitely possible, as I've done it. It wasn't so simple though as none of the 1280x720 settings in the graphics card drivers were compatible. I had to use powerstrip to create custom driver settings that were like those given in the AE500 manual. Unfortunately, this was done using PCs, and I don't know about MACS. But given a MAC equivalent of powerstrip, you should be able to do something. The results make it worth trying.
