    Hi all

Just recently got my panasonic today and i´m gonna do a little testing tonight. But I also wanted to hear how you have calibrated it yourself? I know that iit´s very individual and depends on equipment connections etc but it would still be a start to test some of your settings. So please feel free to post here or e-mail me

There are loads of factors other than your screen, even wall and ceiling colours will have an effect on your projectors image.

Out of the box, I didn't think the settings were that bad but you need to experiment for yourself.

Heres the adjustments I made using Ultimate Platinum DVD for calibration.
Connected via componant from a Lecson dvd player.
I now have to recalibrate as I have a new player.

    Colour -2
    Tint -4
    Brightness +6
    Sharpness +2

No contrast adjustment was made, I found it difficult to set using the Ultimate setup disc.

And Heres the adjustments when using the THX optomode from the Phantom Menace disc.

    Brightness +6
    Contrast +4

These adjustments were used when the projector was set to Normal in the picture menu.

Ran the Avia test disc through my AE-100 last night from my HTPC.

My settings are as follows (Wide 480):

Picture mode: Dynamic (far better if you like a more "dynamic" pic :D

Sharpness: Zero. Yes, I repeat, Zero. Test pattern really shows how screwed up the picture is with any other setting.

That's it I'm afraid. The rest of my adjustments are irrelevant as I've made major adjustments to the graphics settings on the PC. Gamma, saturation etc...

I watched Driven tonight & WOW, WOW
(film is sh*te BTW, good picture though, nice colourfull cars flying around)

Some of my settings were way off. This was because I couldn't adjust enough with the PJ adjustments. Hence I had to change the graphics setup.

I had used the Ultimate DVD platinum to calibrate, but I find the Avia disc is 10 times better! Really recommend any owner get their hands on this.

My picture is now unbelieveably better. No comparison with what I had, & what I had was good.

Question for anyone else with test/calibration discs:
Can you see the 10 IRE pattern on your PJ? I can now!
