PSU Compatibility

Hey all, quick question - I have a PSU from an old HP dx2000m, which is an Intel P4 PC, and I was wondering if the pins (e.g. 20+4 connectors) would be compatible with an ASUS M2N4-SLI motherboard (AMD Processor)? Anyone know off the top of their heads? I'd rather avoid buying a new PSU if I can help it...

Motherboard power sockets are usually standard, so it should work as long as the PSU is roughly the same age as the motherboard.

The problem is that your PSU might be low quality or underpowered, in which case even if you CAN connect it, it might just shut off as soon as you power everything up, since it can't provide the sort of power your components need.
