You basically need to set up wireless networking. Replace your NTL broadband modem with a wireless router. Most wireless routers can be connected up via enternet and USB too. Then you're pretty much set to go. All you need to do then is enter the WAN address and username/password on the PSP. Works for me :)

You'll probably want to keep the NTL cable modem where it is, and simply add a wireless router onto it via the modems ethernet port.

I replaced my modem with the router as it had a DSL port. Dunno what the NTL ones are like though

No no, all you need is a wireless PCI card (or even USB) in your main PC and set up an Ad-hoc network ;) Doing it this way will also let you use x-link to play mutliplayer wifi games over the internet, which you can not do with a wireless router.

I find PCI ones better but a USB one could also be used for a laptop if you ever decide to get one.

A 802.11b PCI wifi card is all you need and should set you back about a tenner on ebay. Try and stick to a branded one: Linksys, Netgear, Cisco etc.
