    hi guys,
just to let you know wep keys can broken incredibly easily these days, using aircrack or weplab for instance.

Admittedly WEP is better than no WEP but you need to start adding layers to your security, the two that spring to mind are:

    MAC address filtering:
This is configured on your router and defines what hardware devices can attach to your wireless router. You can get your PSP MAC address from somewhere in the menu (can't remember at the mo!)

    Disable SSID broadcasting:
This means anyone thats scan for a wireless network in your area using primarily a windows based machine, using a tool such as netstumbler, will not see your network.

None of these methods are foolproof, mac addresses can be spoofed and linux based tools such as kismet can detect non-broadcasting wireless routers.

However the key thing is your using "defence in depth".

So the bottom line is instead of nicking your bandwidth they'll nick your next door neighbours!

Obviously I can't take any resonsibility if you knacker your router!

    Any Q's
