Many have been raving about the Logitech Playgear Pocket which is out in UK at the end of 1st week of Aug: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/productlistns/US/EN,crid=2360,categoryid=451

this is the US site....the UK one is pitiful....only the playgear pocket is on it....nothing else. All accessories on this page will come to the UK. Go on HMV site for rough price

buy online like www.gameplay.co.uk amongst others or ebay

as for the silicone skins.....I'm passing cos a) they look cheap, b) I worry about longevity. Thats probably unfounded but......

I have a Playgear pocket, and because it's a hard case it certainly helps with the protection when travelling around. Also the lid folds over so it can act as a stand and at certain angles can also help in blocking out bright sunlight.

I have a rubber skin on mine that I've had to slightly modify with scissors. It was a too snug a fit around the buttons and stick so I made more room. I also have a screen protector on which is great (no air bubbles).

And finally I store and carry it around with a hard case which has room for 4 umd's. I keep a screen cleaning cloth in there too. I have a very similar one for my DS too.

All the above I got cheap on ebay.
