It would be up to individual airline policy. Call and ask ahead

Oh, the PSP doesn't have bluetooth

All the airlines I have been on recently have all stated just after the safety demonstration that they forbid the use of wireless gadgets like gaming as it can interfere with the instruments on the plane. However it's fine to play without the wireless on after the take off when the seat belt sign is switched off. You may be able to play it sneakily, but I personally wouldn't take any chances. On a recent flight to Mexico before the UK launch there was about 12 of us all strangers, with psp's sharing each other games. It was good fun and it would have definitely been improved with wireless gaming.

I would defo get confirmation from the airline - in paper before flying. My experience has been all too often you get a knows-all cabin crew who says you cannt use anything wireless or anything that even looks wireless as it will affect the plane, the captain and we will all die a horrible painful death (did I mention slowly) Sorry to be so dramatic but I had to resort to getting written allowance from BA to fly on their flights with my XDA2 - even though it was in airline mode - ie GSM switched off I always had the cabin crew sayingg turn that off - we are all going to die a slow plainful blah blah blah !

Every time I fly I always sneak a quick wireless check to see if anyone else is sharing - alas not yet but I'll keep sneaking and trying ! Until I either find someone or we all die in a horrible slow ..... :)

As far as I know, you can play them on a plane, but not with wireless activated. I saw people the whole time with laptops, so why not a PSP?
